Arguable the most joyous of the long running musicals on the West End stage the show has just extended its run to 2 March 2024 with a cast led by Mazz Murray as Donna, Josie Benson as Tanya and Gemma Goggin as Rosie. It opened at the Prince Edward, then moved in 2004 to the Prince of Wales and has been at the Novello since 2012 and has been seen by over 10 million people and played over 9300 performances. It is the fifth longest running musical in West End history. Long running shows can grow stale but Mamma Mia has refreshed its cast regularly and the Abba songs are timeless. This is no one hit song show.The epitome of a good night out for all ages there have been 50 productions all over the world including the People's Republic of China where it was performed in Mandarin.
