Macbeth - The Lord Chamberlain's Men on tour. William Russell

The West End may be preparing to open some of the shows closed down last year because of the pandemic and a few new ones but not everyone can get to London. So here is a company which could be coming to a place near you. The tour will visit 55 venues all over the country and play in stately homes, cathedrals, castles and gardens from Yorkshire to Cornwall. It is an all make company as was the Lord Chamberlain's Men to which Shakespeare belonged. Directed by Peter Stickney the tour opens on 6 June in the Octagon Theatre, Yeovil and will end at Royal Ascot Golf Club, Berkshire on August 29.
