No point in my teaching anyone of you to suck eggs so to speak, but there are lots of opportunities on line for those of you missing the theatre to enjoy past performances which companies have filmed. The National Theatre, the Arcola, Hampstead, The King's Head, the Royal Court, Jermyn Street, and many others as well as most rep companies throughout the land are offering things for you to watch .Just google. Dead easy.
One of my friends from press nights. lamenting failing to meet up, said she was discovering all sorts of television programmes she used to miss seeing because she was sitting in a theatre and not at home - so these things cut both ways.
We may even get round to posting reviews of some of these events - and should you be feeling kind there are appeals from the fringe in particular for help to enable them to survive - they live on a knife edge at the best of times.
