Easter entertainment - Nottingham Playhouse - William Russell
The Playhouse is making its famous Family Fest available on line over the Easter half term. Kick starting is an online craft challenge, perfect for anyone who has a surplus of cardboard toilet roll tubes - it is to create characters from this year's upcoming pantomime, Beauty and the Beast. Creations, when shared on social media, will be automatically entered into a competition to find the most dazzling tube and the winner will get a family ticket to the pantomime as well as a name check during the performance. As well as the Family Fest craft challenge there will be interactive video session, including storytelling, creative writing workshops, dance tutorials and even bonnet making.
Further details from the Playhouse. Martin Berry, head of Participation, said the Family Fest was such a highlight of their participation group that when the pandemic struck they started to look for wats to allow families, communities and children to still get some of that Festival . It is all totally free, but donations to the Playhouse's Curtain Up Fund will be welcome. You can follow
