The latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic universe. This is a challenging film and one that changes the perception of a marvel movie. Borrowing heavily from classic horror conventions to create some of the most effective sequences of gothic elegance that I have seen since Bram Stoker's Dracula. The cinematography in this film varies from striking to embarrassing with some moments feeling clumsy. We are also introduced to America Chavez, a young girl who is able to travel through the multiverse.  The film has several layers and moments which are cleverly crafted to cause awe, it also pushes the boundaries somewhat as to what can be shown within a 12A certificate. The highlight of the film was Wanda/Scarlett Witch who I felt they did a great dis-justice too in vilifying her   I feel this film is setting the scene for further developments. The narrative is fairly, straightforward but is bulked out with CGI and an illuminescent colour pallet. Overall, this film improves significantly in the second and third act- recovering from a fairly, dull opening. Certainly, worth a watch as at times this is a stunning piece of cinema.
