The final season of Dark picks up almost imminently after season 2 concluded and this series tells the story of the third and final cycle in the show.

The last series of the show leaves you lost for words. The writing from Jantje Friese & Marc O. Seng is astonishing, as there is so much unpredictability as to where the series will end up and there are some brilliant plot twists throughout this season. Most importantly, a lot of unanswered questions were answered. Also, the pay-off in the final episode was superb, as it helped to explain most of the events that occurred during past seasons of the show. One of the best sci-fi finales ever.

Also, Baron bo Odar’s direction for this series was brilliant. This show proves that having the same director for every episode of a TV series can be quite critical, as Dark never lost momentum at all. There was such a high level of  consistency maintained throughout the whole show.

Every performer in the show is really committed to their role and particular standouts in the season include Louis Hofmann, Lisa Vicari, Oliver Masucci and Sandra Borgmann. Most importantly every character is given such a pivotal role to play throughout the series. There’s so much development to every character on the show.

Dark Season 3 is full of twists and turns but ultimately this final chapter will leave fans more than satisfied. A show that you don’t just watch but you solve. This show will stand the test of time as one of the greatest Netflix original shows ever.
