15 Heroines - Jermyn Street launches digital theatre - William Russell

With opening dates for live theatre seeming to disappear farther and farther into the distance doing something this year becomes all the more urgent for producing houses like Jermyn Street, the jewel in the West End's crown. It has joined forces with Digital theatre and from Monday 9 November to Saturday 14 November will be screening 15 plays telling the stories ofthe women of classical myth. The project is inspired by Ovid's The Heroines, the plays written by the likes of Aoril De Angelis, Timberlake Wertenbaker, Bryony Lavery and Natalie Haynes, will be directed by the theatre's artistic director Tom Littler. There will be three performances of each work with a limited on line audience of 250 with tickets costing £20. Casting will be announced in due course and the plays will be performed in the theatre.
