COMPLICITE HOLD KEY TO THE FUTURE...

Theatre de Complicite is 21 years old. Though 'old' is hardly the term for a company that not only leads the way in innovative performances but seems constantly to be reinventing itself and discovering new possibilities from its unique theatre style - based in physical expression and visual imagination but often used to explore new, unfamiliar or classic texts.

A look at current operations and future plans indicates how the company's still seeking new challenges.CURRENT PROJECTS:

STRANGE POETRY BERLIOZ AND THE CHEMISTRY OF DREAMS a collaboration with
the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Esa Pekka-Salonen, and
performed in the new Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los
Angeles (2004)

MEASURE FOR MEASURE A revival of Shakespeare's darkest comedy. In
collaboration with the National Theatre, where its in rep to 31 July 2004.

including a one man show about telepathy and the Amazon Jungle, a follow up
to their earlier show Mnemonic using David Deutch's The Fabric of Reality and an installation work in collaboration with John Berger.

In keeping with their fascination with the marginalized and the forgotten,
Complicite are raising money for a season in one of the oldest and most
beautiful neglected theatres in Britain: Alexandra Palace Theatre.
