Sitting on a park bench Denver played by Georgie talks to her audience there for a live performance of her podcast about her life looking for romance rom com style. It is the last instalment. Grier is engaging, full of vitality and creates the bond with her audience essential for a show like this to work. It is one of a series of Edinburgh fringe pieces to come south and the trip was worth making. Some of it is true, some of it is how Denver would like it to be as she heads for that happy ever after sunset all rom coms must have. She does it with the aid of a park bench, a fluffy pink top, which gets discarded, and a hand held mike which also gets discarded. Maybe the narrative gets a bit muddled but the show passes the time amusingly enough and deserves more than an audience of one. Grier hit the headlines after only one person turned up to see her in Edinburgh which she duly shared along with tears on social media. Cue for a Twitter X storm and messages of sympathy and support from known comedians who have survived life and death on the Fringe and gone on to greater things. The tears are over, time for laughter.
